Notice the "drawn-in" bra on Bettie in the above pic. Some magazines of the day took fewer risks
than others. Some of the drawn-on stuff was hilarious, but the true Legster didn't care, since they were
looking for legs, feet, heels and hose, for the most part.

Notice the showgirl garterbelt. It is a low-rise model, and if the garter
tabs were adjusted all the way up, she'd be able to were the crotch
high stockings dancers and strippers often wore.

In some of the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies, the wardrobe
department usually sewed garters on to the acresses panties, or
even sewed the tops of the stockings to the inside bottom of the
crotch of the costume the dancer was wearing. Boy, would I love
to own a pair of silk stockings worn by Ginger Rogers that had to
be sewn to her drawers. ;-)

True Legsters will NEVER forget Bettie Page's contributions to men's entertainment,
and although she has long since hung up her stockings and garterbelt and opted for
a life of retirement. I also understand she has found the Lord. Meanwhile, she helped
many a teen and man get through "tough times" back in the day, and even now, when
women look more like "one of the guys" than like women.
